Ohara Koson, 1910Ohara Koson was a late 19th- and early 20th-century Japanese print designer who was part of the shin-hanga (new print) movement that both revived the traditional ukiyo-e style and took after European Impressionism. Ohara usually made Kachō-e (bird-and-flower) paintings that sold well both in Japan and abroad—particularly in the United States.
