Carl Larsson, c. 1904–1905Carl Larsson came from humble beginnings, born into a very poor family in Sweden. He began art school young and eventually moved to a Scandinavian artist’s colony outside Paris where he lived with his wife and children. He was a key contributor to the Arts and Crafts movement.
