Adam and Eve
Albrecht Dürer, 1504Albrecht Dürer was a prolific German painter, draftsmen, printmaker, and writer, and one of the most important figures of the Northern Renaissance. Perhaps his greatest impact was elevating printmaking to an independent fine art form. He was the first Northern artist to take an analytical, scientific approach to visual representation, and wrote several treatises on perspective and proportion.
