Using your Canvas

Power button

After plugging in the Canvas, the power button (located on the side of the Canvas) can be used to turn the Canvas off and on. Press the power button to put the Canvas in low power mode. Hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn off the Canvas. Press the power button for 1 second to turn the Canvas back on.

Gesture control

Your Canvas comes equipped with an invisible gesture sensor. The gesture sensor is located in the center of the bottom strip of the white mat board.
For optimal gesture control, we recommend steadily waving four or so inches across the sensor area, at about an inch away from the frame. This will ensure the sensor registers your hand with greater accuracy and precision. Please note: gesture recognition is locked for 0.5 seconds after each gesture to prevent error waves, so fast waving will not work.
Wave left or right to change images. Wave up to read more about an image. Wave down to access the Canvas menu.

Orientation detection

The Meural Canvas automatically detects whether it is hanging vertically or horizontally. Simply rotate the Canvas and it will automatically update.
