Titian

Titian - who began as an artist’s apprentice - was a leading artist of the sixteenth century, and considered one of the greatest painters of the Italian Renaissance. He created works for grand altarpieces, and royal patrons like King Philip II and Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. Admired for his use of vivid color, and for his ability to render both portraits and landscape scenes with skill, Titian left a legacy that inspired generations of artists after him.
