Hopper's Lonely City

Edward Hopper was one of the defining artists of twentieth century Realism. He is best known for painting urban scenes portraying human isolation in modern life, as seen in his most famous painting, ‘Nighthawks,’ which illustrates Hopper’s use of light and space to dramatize the everyday American experience.
