Kazimir Malevich

Kazimir Malevich founded the artistic school of Suprematism, which he described as promoting “the supremacy of pure feeling or perception in the pictorial arts.” Malevich believed that art should transcend subject matter and that the truth of shape and color should rule supreme over the image or narrative.
