Founded in 1908 in the dining room of Brøndums Hotel, in a small harbor town in North Denmark, The Skagen Museum exhibits works by Skagen painters from the 1870s to the 1910s. The museum has been in its own building since 1928 and boasts a beautiful garden, and over 1,800 works by artists like Peder Severin Krøyer and Anna Ancher, all of whom are generally figurative and emulate the style of French Impressionists.
