Mythology is a collection of myths which form the narrative backbone of a given culture—and perhaps no culture is known for their mythology as much as the Greeks. It was a language they used to explain natural phenomena, document artifacts, and explain the very existence of humans. The profound influence of this mythology, especially the Greek gods, can be found through the history of art, but especially in work from the Renaissance.
