Although few paintings by Leonardo exist in the world today, among them are the best-known and most highly revered paintings in the world, like the Mona Lisa in the Louvre and The Last Supper fresco. Despite these high achievements in painting, Leonardo was a man of many talents, and is still known to us today for his extraordinarily versatile intellect and creative mind. (He was equally skilled as a sculptor, architect, urban planner, inventor, anatomist, and visionary who anticipated the invention of aircraft, submarines, and other technologies centuries before their invention.) Leonardo is among the most influential figures of the Renaissance in Europe, as well as one of the most recognized artists in history.
