Henry Scott Tuke was a British artist, known for his figurative studies of young men, often nude, and set within lush landscapes and seascapes.
Tuke’s reputation faded after his death, but in the late 20th century, a new generation of openly gay artists and collectors championed his work, and cultural interest in his prolific oeuvre was revitalized.
