Raphael

Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, most commonly known as Raphael, was an Italian painter and architect revered for the perfection and harmony found throughout his works. Raphael was greatly influenced by the works of Italian masters Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, closely studying the details of their work to develop and improve his own personal style - which can be seen in his grand frescoes and works within the Palace of the Vatican, including his masterpiece, The School of Athens. Sadly, Raphael died unexpectedly at the young age of 37, leaving behind a large body of works as well as a triumphant legacy that made him a beloved master and highly regarded figure of the High Renaissance.
