Belousov-Zhabotinsky

Part of an exclusive series from artist Jonathan McCabe, which is inspired by the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction—“one of a class of chemical reactions that serve as a classical example of non-equilibrium thermodynamics”. Essentially, the hallmark of a BZ reaction is the creation of ‘excitable’ and oscillating patterns and colors when a bromine and an acid are combined.
