“Creating charms its creator, which comes through in each creation. My art is a combination of chance and deliberation. I invite viewers to get lost in the imagery—to peek into a world that evokes joy. My process is dynamic, interactive, and expansive, creating impact that delights the eye and ignites the spirit. My art works with surrounding elements to tie together and enhance a greater space, whether a product, a room, a garden, or a city block. Color, form, and light mutually relate, creating something new and better. I start with movement by playing with materials, alert to what sparks my interest, always a surprise, and then translate my excitement into a feast for viewers. I look for an ‘aaaah’ response, neither overdone nor timid. My paintings have evolved by my observing varied expressions of beauty: natural and human-made wonders, from petals of flowers, to stars reflected in a river below, to skewed lines of city buildings. I absorb the energy around me and transmit it to others via my artwork.” — Ben Bonart.
