Gordon Parks

Gordon Parks spent the majority of his photography career working for Life Magazine, arguably the most influential and prominent publication in the United States in the early 20th century. Parks’ photographs are instantly recognizable for their lush tonal range, elegant sense of movement, and iconic compositions. They’re also imbued with his passion for social justice; many of his works became lasting symbols of the civil rights movement.
