Alice Bailly was a Swiss painter linked to the Fauvist, Cubist, and Dada movements during her lifetime. Her signature style became known as ‘wool painting’ for its use of short strands of colored yarn. Bailly was an avant-garde thinker, well respected by her artist peers, who included Juan Gris and Picasso.
