Julie Siracusa

Julie Siracusa is a contemporary painter living and working in Lafayette, Louisiana. Siracusa paints her favorite subject matter, water, in a minimalist style characterized by a seamless flow of line and color. Most of Siracusa’s inspiration comes from her interaction with the water in her own backyard: “Studying the movement of water and how colors reflect on each nuance of the surface is a frequent practice of mine. My pool is an excellent place for experimentation. I can move the water to observe varied currents and create reflections using colorful objects.”
