Nacho Frades is a digital painter who lives in Jerez de la Frontera, a small city in Cádiz, Spain. His digital landscapes are surreal and fantastical while deeply evocative and, often, peaceful. Color is a central theme in Frades’ works—his “Pure” series features works digitally painted in one hue, making use of different values. He says: “Life is in color: the red in a cloth, the yellow sun of the south of Spain. All is color…it’s the most wonderful physical property in the Universe.”
