Giovanni Girolamo Savoldo

Girolamo Savoldo is known for his religious paintings and portraits, created in Venice during the High Renaissance. His influences include Titian and Lorenzo Lotto. Many of his finest works are nocturnal scenes, such as his “Saint Matthew and the Angel.”
